Burn victims experience the sensation of burning again when handling wounds in daily care. When little patients put on the high-tech helmet and start the game, they lose sight of the therapists, the equipment, and other signs and sounds that might be scary; pain requires continuous attention from the brain, with calming videos on a virtual reality device a 24 percent decrease in pain levels can be achieved. That is our goal.

Through a computer, a video call or simply by cell phone, we offer home care waiting for the emergency to conclude to reschedule their treatments, patients and CRISAQ staff have had to adapt to the circumstances required by the health contingency.

It begins by giving active-participatory workshops where we dynamically present measures to prevent burns, with the didactic support of an illustrated workbook according to the age of the toddlers, with workshops where children can raise awareness of the consequences that cause burns and everything that helps us avoid them. With our pet "CRISPITA" who helps us to advise our little ones. "My Smile Doesn't Go Off" has reached 3,600 children as direct beneficiaries, 40 visits to different educational centers, both public and private.

The Day of Comprehensive Treatment of Burn Injuries ”in its 5th edition is possible thanks to the support and international co-organization of Doctors for Peace, and in which it has the contribution of international and national exhibitors of great caliber, professionals from great recognition sharing their experiences, experiences and new knowledge to our participants who are training or want to grow in this area.

As part of the celebration of Mothers' Month, the association of volunteer friends of Fundación CRISAQ will organize their traditional Ladies Tea, an event held in which distinguished ladies of society come together every year to support this noble cause and contribute with their presence and donations the work carried out by the CRISAQ Foundation.
